New Workout Reaches New Level in Fitness

Burn More Calories in Just 36 Minutes with New Fitness Training Concept

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo., (November 24, 2015) -- There’s a new fitness training concept that gives individuals a full-body, strength-based workout in much less time than traditional workouts and weight training. FIT36®, managed by Colorado-based WellBiz Brands, Inc., gets members results in 36-minute classes of high intensity interval training. Touted as the next level in fitness, FIT36® has studios opening in the next few weeks in Denver, Highlands Ranch, Colo., Waldwick, N.J. and Virginia Beach, and will be opening several additional locations over the next six months.

High intensity interval training (HIIT) is a modern form of exercise that combines short periods of intense exercise with short periods of rest. At FIT36®, members are outfitted with a heart rate training system to monitor their intensity level as they go through the 12 circuits, each circuit involving 60 seconds of work and 30 seconds of rest. Each station is completed twice to form the 36-minute HIIT workout. With a brief warm-up and stretch at the end, clients are typically in and out the door in 45 minutes or less.

FIT36® classes are done in small groups, not to exceed 24 people. There are two trainers per class to provide a better trainer to member ratio than most small group classes.  The group setting also acts as a motivator and helps fuel a competitive spirit. Between the heart-rate tracking system, experienced trainers and the motivating community, the workout is optimal for burning calories and building muscle in a fun and safe environment. The types of movements are self-limiting and resistance-focused to push everyone to the max safely.

FIT36® workouts are designed to span the entire spectrum of movement from everyday pushing and pulling to dynamic multi-plane lifts and exercises using a wide range of equipment, including battle ropes, TRX straps, rowers, Spin bikes, balance balls, monkey bars, barbells, kettle bells and more. Among the equipment not used is treadmills. The circuits are changed daily to alternate the movements, and then bi-weekly the exercises are completely revamped to keep the workout interesting and challenging.

"HIIT also helps afterburn, which basically lets you continue to burn calories hours after your workout*," says Karen Pierce, owner of FIT36® in Highlands Ranch, Colo. "If you workout Thanksgiving morning, you can still be burning calories at the big feast.  The FIT36® workout is one of the most efficient ways to maintain, even lose weight, while building strength, athleticism and stamina, in under an hour."

The combination of efficiency, intensity and strength-based results has drawn the interest of former professional athletes, as well as weekend warriors, who take their health and wellness seriously and are looking to get an edge.

“The first time I tried the workout I was immediately drawn to how much it felt like training as an athlete again,” said FIT36® Denver Tech Center Owner and former Major League Soccer goalie Steve Cronin. “Once I got hooked, I knew I wanted to be a part of this brand. I knew I wanted to provide a place where people could train like an athlete and get the results they expect.”
