At the beginning of the New Year, we're bombarded with advertisements promoting weight loss supplements and gym memberships. While the ads begin to die down as the year progresses, it’s important that you find ways to stick to your fitness goals and track any progress along the way so you can avoid falling back into your old routines. Our trainers at FIT36® are here to support you and hold you accountable in reaching your 2016 goals throughout the entire year.

FIT36® is high intensity interval training (HIIT) in 36 minutes. It incorporates wearable technology and functional fitness, lead by certified personal trainers. With a brief warm up and cool down, it takes no more than 45 minutes from the time you enter, until the time you leave. It’s perfect for anybody with a busy schedule. 

High Intensity Interval Training vs. Traditional Workouts

The biggest difference between HIIT training and traditional workouts is HIIT provides a full-body cardiovascular workout in much less time while regularly burning 500-plus calories in just 36 minutes. They are created to span the entire spectrum of movement, ranging from everyday pushing and pulling to dynamic multi-plane lifts and exercises. You’ll work muscles you didn’t even know existed, and most of all, you will see results. 

HIIT at FIT36® is the Next-Level in Fitness

Our trainers at FIT36® make HIIT fun and challenging.  There are two, full-body workout classes that are run within a two-week time frame. After two weeks of perfecting the techniques, we completely switch up the circuits, keeping you on your toes for what’s coming next. 

Classes are high-energy with motivating music, encouraging trainers and like-minded participants. Our members share a passion for working out which drives a competitive spirit in our studios. Although FIT36® is done in a group setting, individuals have the option to modify each exercise, depending on his or her fitness level.  Trainers are there to help guide you through the circuits, correct form and answer any questions/concerns you may have. 

Circuits incorporate everything from kettle bells, bands and monkey bars to TRX straps, free weights and rowers. The ratio of people to trainers is 12 to 1, with a maximum of 24 clients. Members complete a series of 12 stations, twice, involving 60 seconds of intense exercise followed by 30 seconds of rest.  Each member wears a heart rate monitor, provided by our studio, to ensure the workout is being performed in the anabolic zone. Workouts completed in an anabolic zone improve endurance and overall performance. 

The Benefits of HIIT

The FIT36® form of HIIT promotes after burn, or improved calorie burn. That said, after you complete a FIT36® workout, you actually continue burning calories throughout the rest of the day. So, a shorter, higher intensity workout has the potential to burn double the calories than a longer, lower intensity workout. It also promotes muscle retention, boosts the metabolism and there’s a greater focus on stamina, strength and athleticism than in a traditional workout.

With our personal trainer’s expertise in fitness training, our focus on a small group setting and our ability to have fun while doing so, our goal at FIT36® is to create the best experience for our members.
